Yoo Nam Kyu Pro ALC is the representative inner ALC blade of Nexy. In late 2010s, Nexy started to launch new blades those fit for professional players. The first blade is Batos which is an outer ALC blade that reminds us Butterfly Maze OFF. (But, of course it is different from Maze OFF.) Batos was very successful, but the problem was that Nexy didn’t have proper inner fiber blade that can be recommended for professional players. That is the reason why this blade was developed.
TTGearLab managed the development of new inner ALC blade for Nexy. The result was successful. And, the final sample blade was tested and approved by a famous coach – Yoo Nam Kyu who is the gold medal winner of 1988 Olympic Games. That is the reason why this blade was named after Yoo Nam Kyu.
Yoo Nam Kyu Pro ALC is a standard inner ALC blade which is soft and whose speed is moderate (= mid fast). It can be compared with some famous inner ALC blades such as Butterfly InnerForce Layer ALC or DHS Hurricane King 5.
Not only the engineering but also the graphic design was done by TTGearLab. Because ‘Yoo Nam Kyu’ series will act as a sub-brand of Nexy, it needed a different image from general Nexy blades. TTGearLab tried to make its own image. That is the reason why the appearance of Yoo Nam Kyu is different from that of the other Nexy blades.
Another important feature of Yoo Nam Kyu Pro ALC is the performance rating printed on the blade head. It is the common rating that has already been used for ITC blades. This is the second trial of the application of TTGearLab’s common rating for actual products. The rating graph like the one that was used for ITC blades aren’t used for this blade. Instead the values of common ratings are directly written on the blade head.
Yoo Nam Kyu Pro ALC has been very successful in sales, and because one of the most successful Nexy blades. It is expected that new variations of Yoo Nam Kyu ‘series’ will be launched in near future.

– Ep = 1.60
– Ec = 1.32 (Ec/Ep = 0.83)
– Vp = 1.10
– Vl = 1.23 (Vl/Vp = 1.12)
