‘Nevagiva’ is a Japanese table tennis brand that deals with long pimple rubbers and the blades specialized for block. But, in the blade range of Nevagiva, ‘Affect’ is an exception because it looks like an ordinary inner-type fiber blade. However, the concept of ‘Affect’ is the optimization for lady players or junior players whose hands are small. If players with small hands uses a blade with handle that is too thick for their hand size, the precise control becomes difficult because they can’t use wrists and fingertips delicately. Nevagiva ‘Affect’ is solving that problem by its handle shape which is optimized for that kind of players.

‘Affect’ is the blade which is optimized for the players with small hands. The graphic design of the center of the handle symbolizes the letter ‘i’ which expresses the spirit of Nevagiva brand.

The construction of ‘Affect’ is a 5+2 ply inner construction. The top layer and the middle layer are Limba. And, the center layer is Ayous. Aramid Carbon is placed between the middle layer and the center layer. Overall thickness is around 5.5mm.

The head size of shakehand version is around 156mm x 149mm.

Two handle types are available for shakehand version. Left is FL (flared) handle version, and right is ST (straight) handle version.

The width of FL (flared) handle is around 26mm (at head side) ~ 26.5mm (at bulge) ~ 25.5mm (at the middle of handle) ~ 32.5mm (at the end), and the thickness of FL handle is around 22.5mm from the thumb to the end. The length is around 100mm. The width is normal. However, we can notice that its thickness at the end is very small.

The size of ST (straight) handle is around 27mm (width) x around 22.5mm (thickness). The length is around 100mm. ST handle is also narrower and thinner than ordinary ST handles.

Chinese penholder version is also available. The head size of penholder version is around 163mm x 161mm.

The width of CP (Chinese penholder) handle is around 26mm (at head side) ~ 30mm (at the end), and the thickness of CP handle is round 23mm (at thumb) ~ 23.5mm (at the end). The length is around 82mm. Differently from shakehand handles, the width and the height of CP handle is normal.

The logo of Nevagiva and the name of blade are printed respectively at left bottom and right bottom of the foreside of blade head. Speed symbol such as OFF or OFF+ isn’t included in the head printing. Since there isn’t any nameplate at handle, the product name is visible only from this printing.

Squared Aluminum plate including ‘Nevagiva’ logo is applied at the end of handle.

There isn’t printing on the backside of head.
