‘Synteliac’ series is the new flagship blade family in andro range that consists of various kinds of fiber blades. The special materials adopted by ‘Synteliac series’ are ‘Zyreema Carbon’ and ‘Voltema Carbon’ those are different from the artificial fibers for existing fiber blades of andro. Current naming system of Andro blades is to add additional name after the main name depending on the type of construction and the kind of special material, followed by additional symbol indicating playing strategy or speed of blade. Depending on that system, four models of ‘Synteliac’ series are named as ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’, ‘Synteliac ZCI OFF’, ‘Synteliac VCO OFF’ and ‘Synteliac VCI OFF’. High elasticity is one important advantage of ‘Synteliac’ series according to Andro. Andro promotes ‘SPEED WINS’ as the motto of the ‘Synteliac’ series.

‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ is the outer fiber model whose artificial fiber is ‘Zyreema Carbon’. ‘ZCO’ is the abbreviate of ‘Zyreema Carbon Outer’. ‘Zyreema’ is a kind of synthetic fiber, differently speaking PBO (Zylon) fiber. (The reason why many TT makers including andro are calling ‘Zylon fiber’ in different names is to avoid trademark dispute. But, it will be all right that we think of ‘Zyreema Carbon’ as ‘ZLC’. So ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ is a kind of outer-ZLC blade.) The concept of ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ is to maximize the elasticity of the blade by placing the artificial material directly under the top layer.

‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ is one of the new flagship blades of andro. And, it is the fastest version among four variations in ‘Synteliac’ series.

Above is the construction of ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’. Zyreema Carbon (= ZLC) is inserted directly under the top layer. The top layer is Koto, the middle layer is Ayous, and the center layer is Kiri. Overall thickness is around 5.8mm.

Above picture shows the shape of FL (= flared) handle. It is a FL handle of semi-wide type similar to that of ‘Viscaria’. The width is around 25mm (at top) ~ 28mm (at bulge) ~ 26mm (at narrowest point) ~ 34mm (at the end), and the height (thickness) is around 22.5mm (at thumb) ~ 25mm (at the end). This semi-wide handle is applied only for outer-fiber models in the series (= ZCO and VCO), and different shape is applied for inner-fiber models (= ZCI and VCI).
The size of ST handle (not shown in the picture) is around 28mm (width) x 23mm (height).
At foreside of handle, there are two Aluminum panels. At the position close to thumb small rounded plate with ‘a’ logo is applied. And, below it long Aluminum panel with ‘Synteliac’ logo is applied.

Transparent plastic lens is applied at the end of handle. ‘ZCO’ and ‘OFF/S’ are shown in this plastic lens.

There isn’t any printing or lens at the backside of the blade.

The size of head is around 157mm x 150mm. This head of regular size is applied for outer-fiber models in ‘Synteliac’ series, and a bit bigger (158mm x 152m) head is applied for inner-fiber models.

A small booklet that explains the materials and constructions of ‘Synteliac’ series is included in the box.

The color of Zyreema (= Zylon) fiber is light yellow. Zyreema fiber and Carbon fiber are arranged in horizontal direction and vertical direction respectively.

It seems that two – ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ and ‘Synteliac VCI OFF’ – among four models in the series are especially important because those two have clearer characteristics. ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ is the fastest blade, and ‘Synteliac VCI OFF’ is the most controllable blade in the series.

The booklet in the box explains the characteristics of two fibers – Voltema (= Arylate) and Zyreema (= Zylon). The own names of andro are being used to avoid trademark dispute.

‘Synteliac’ series is expected to be chosen by many andro contract players in the future. Especially ‘Synteliac VCI OFF’ is being tested by Simon Gauzy.

TTGearLab is preparing for the comparison of ‘Synteliac’ series with existing fiber blades.
Following are the performance indices of Synteliac ZCO OFF/S (avg.weight = 88.8g) :
Ep = 2.43
Ec = 2.38 (Ec/Ep = 0.98)
Vp = 1.46
Vl = 1.41 (Vl/Vp = 0.96)
Please note that above are average values and can be updated by further measurement.

Very good review.
I have one of these blades , but I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Looking at the indices, it seems that it is largely similar to Butterfly Mizutani Jun Super ZLC. Am I wrong?
What kind of rubbers do you think we should use to control the high speed of this board? I think it will be more effective with soft rubbers. What do you think?

Yes. The data of ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’ looks close to that of ‘Mizutani Jun Super ZLC’. But, sometimes the difference of top layer prevents the player from adapting to new blade in early stage of change. We have to careful of it in case the blades with similar indices have different top layers. Nevertheless I believe that the change between those two will not be that difficult if we try.
I expect that ‘Rasant V’ series (especially V47) or ‘Tenergy 80’ will be the best fit for ‘Syntelica ZCO OFF/S’. But, I’m not sure because I haven’t tested that combination yet.

bagaimana menurut anda synteliac zco vs jolla vyzarys trinity?salam dari indonesia

Joola Vyzarys Trinity is an outer-type blade whose artificial material includes three different fibers. Unfortunately I couldn’t have got the sample of that model.
But, it is like the Limba top layer version of Xiom An Jaehyun TMX whose top layer is Koto. I expect that it will be somewhat softer and less elastic than ‘Synteliac ZCO OFF/S’.
