Yasaka ‘Ma Lin Carbon’ was launched after Ma Lin won the gold medal of Men’s Singles at 2008 Olympic Games. It is an inner-fiber blade that the fiber isn’t placed directly under the top layer. It is very soft as a carbon blade, and gives moderate speed and excellent control. Skilled player will be able to make sufficiently powerful ball from this blade. For most of players, ‘Ma Lin Carbon’ can be recommended as an almighty blade that makes everything possible.

‘Ma Lin Carbon’ is a carbon blade made in Sweden. Above picture is FL (flared) handle version.

The construction of ‘Ma Lin Carbon’ is an inner fiber construction tha Fleece carbon is inserted between the middle layer and the center layer. The top layer is Limba, the middle layer is Akazie and the center layer is Ayous. Overall thickness is around 5.5mm.

The garphic design of handle inherits that of ‘J.P.Gatien’ series that is the representative blade family of Yasaka in 1990’s. ‘OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST’ is written in the foreside lens, becaust this model was launched after Ma Lin had won the gold medal.

There isn’t any printing on the head of backside. But, there is backside lens on the handle. ‘Double Lens’ is the tradition from the time of ‘J.P.Gatien’ series.

FL (flared) handle isn’t a thick handle, but very stable. ST (straight) handle is noticeably thin and noticeably wide.

ST (straight) handle version. ST handle provides excellent stability.

The cross section of ST handle is very unique – thin and super wide.

Speed sign at speed indicator is ‘OFF’. But, if player hits the ball with light impact, the speed of ball not be as high as expected from that indicator. However, if player hits the ball strongly, ‘Ma Lin Carbon’ will behave as ‘OFF’ class blade.
