Butterfly Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is the signature blade for Lin Yun-Ju who is the member of Taiwanese Men’s National Team. It is the redesigned blade from Zhang Jike Super ZLC which had orignally been used by Lin Yun-Ju. Therefore everything except for graphic design is identical to that of Zhang Jike Super ZLC.
Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is based on Zhang Jike Super ZLC except for the graphic design.
Super ZLC is placed directly under the top layer. Overall thickness is around 5.7mm. (Official data by Butterfly is 5.6mm.) Top layer is Koto. The middle layer is Ayous, and the center layer is Kiri.
Small Aluminum plate instead of plastic lens is applied at the foreside of handle. Small rounded hologram lens is applied at the backside of handle. Differently from Zhang Jike series, this blade has been designed in consideration of the hologram lens.
Nothins is printed on the backside of blade head.
The shape of FL handle is basically identical to that of Viscaria. It is wider and flatter than the handle of ordinarly Butterfly FL handle. Width is around 27mm at the middle of handle, and around 34mm at the end of handle.
ST handle is common rounded ST of Butterfly blades. Width is 28mm.

I just took the picture of this blade, and didn’t measure it.
The blade construction of Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is same as that of Fan Zhendong / Zhang Jike Super ZLC but the official average weight is lower. Then it is expected that Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC is somewhat less elastic than Fan Zhendong / Zhang Jike Super ZLC.
Unfortunately it isn’t possible in short time. In fact I have the data of court testing of Zhang Jike Super ZLC. Lin Yun-Ju Super ZLC has same construction as Zhang Jike Super ALC. But, the problem is that its avg. weight is too much lower than that of ZJK SZLC. For that reason new testing at table tennis court is required for getting more meaningful result on that specific model.
Well, it is not quite the same. Some reviews state that it is, on average, a bit lighter, thinner, and softer than ZJK SZLC, so I’m curious how this is reflected in the indexes.
The indices is affected by weight. But, it sees that the thickness of this model isn’t different from that of Zhang Jike Super ZLC. Both of those two are 5.5mm blades. So we’d better just consider weight.
Did you actually manage to measure this
Blade? I would love to know the speed of it as it is thinner then most

Thanks for the reply! Its helpful to know that it would be somewhat less elastic

Yes. Although there isn’t fundamental difference between LYJ Super ZLC and FZD Super ZLC, the difference of weight range affects the elasticity. 🙂
